Dateline returns with a shocking case to share, which will be featured on a new podcast called "Something About Cari." The podcast will review the case of Cari Farver, who went missing from Omaha in 2012. The podcast will be hosted by Keith Morrison, an award-winning reporter for Dateline. It will begin on Tuesday, December 2, and consist of six total episodes over the following two weeks. The first two episodes will be available simultaneously at launch, with one episode released each Tuesday and Thursday until December 18.

Listeners will be taken back to the point of origin for the Cari Farver case as it is presented in the form of a podcast. Cari Farver's disappearance occurred shortly after she had begun dating Kelly. Once she was gone, a number of odd and shocking events took place.

Keith Morrison stated that from the outset, the case was out of the ordinary. He said that although it started very basic in terms of romance, it evolved to something that was terrifying for everyone involved. Dateline has covered this case before. The story was shown in a TV episode called "Scorned," which aired in 2018. Now, the podcast will return to the case in a deeper way, giving more time to explore the details.

Cari Farver's case details

The disappearance of Cari Farver has been of utmost concern due to the numerous questions that have been raised. There was confusion surrounding whether Cari purposely went missing and left or if she was involved in an event that caused her disappearance. In addition, the messages that were sent afterwards have made the entire situation even more complicated. The messages were supposedly from Cari, but did not demonstrate Cari's normal characteristics.

As time progressed, the messages increased in their violent and threatening nature. Cari's boyfriend and his ex were both targeted with the messages and were being stalked. Additionally, a fire was directly related to the investigation. As the investigation unfolded, what began as a simple missing person case evolved into a much larger, complex, and disturbing situation whereby investigators carefully reviewed every detail of the case in an attempt to find the perpetrator.

The case later led to a shocking discovery. It revealed that the person sending the messages was not Cari at all. Instead, the messages were part of a larger crime that involved manipulation and violence. The truth of the case stunned many people because it was so unexpected. This twist made the story one of the most memorable and unsettling cases Dateline has ever covered.
