A Hulu Original story, titled Stay, is set to be released this October, ahead of the Halloween season, and it appears that a couple will be trapped in a house. Of course, not intentionally.

Jas Summers, who has worked on the short films Prom Night Flex and Bona, has written and directed the film. He was also working on a project called A Little Hope for Chicago, which is now completed. Jared Hoffman, Lex Scott Davis, and Garrett Thompson are also attached to the project and are producing it.

The film's trailer, released by Disney's Andscape, was dropped recently, but it has not gained as much traction. As of this writing, there are just 136 views on YouTube.

As of now, there are just a couple of actors attached to the project, which we will look closely at in one of the sections below.

The other lead in Stay, Megalyn Echikunwoke, is primarily known for her appearances in TV shows and movies. Some of her popular appearances in TV series include Buffy the Vampire Slayer (2003), Supernatural (2006), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2009), Arrow (2016), and more.

She has also appeared in movies like Damsels in Distress (2011), A Good Day to Die Hard (2013), An Actor Prepares (2018), Late Night (2019), Emily the Criminal (2022), and more. Additionally, she has also done motion capture in video games like Mortal Kombat 11, where she portrays Jacqui Briggs.

What is Stay about?

Fans can get a pretty good idea about the upcoming Hulu film, but we have a synopsis for it, too. It reads,

"STAY follows Kiara, a PhD author of African spirituality, and Miles, a former MMA fighter, facing the end of their once beautiful marriage. As it appears matters can’t get any worse in their lives, they begin to encounter soul-shaking supernatural forces and go from fighting one another to fighting for their lives. The key to survival lies within their ability to conquer their darkest moments with courage and love."

We will see if they will survive the events when the film arrives.
