In 2024, 20th Century Studios announced that they were working on a biopic for the Bumble CEO. Filming took over Los Angeles from May to July, turning the city into a stage for a fierce, no-holds-barred glow-up story.

Fresh out of college and undeterred by the boys’ club of tech, Whitney flips the dating game on its head by launching Bumble, a bold app where women call the shots. More than just about swipes and algorithms; it’s about guts, grind, and rewriting every rule in the male-dominated tech world.
From her Tinder beginnings to the explosive moment Bumble went public in 2021, Swiped highlights the challenges and achievements that led Whitney to become the youngest female self-made billionaire.

Cast and crew behind Swiped
Swiped is directed by Rachel Lee Goldenberg, known for Unplanned, Minx, and Valley Girl, with a screenplay by Goldenberg, Bill Parker, and Kim Caramele. Produced by Lily James, Jennifer Gibgot, Andrew Panay, Gala Gordon, and Sarah Shepard, the film is a collaboration between 20th Century Studios and Ethea Entertainment, and will be distributed by Hulu.
