Taylor Swift has announced a six-part docu-series titled The End of an Era. The documentary will chronicle behind-the-scenes moments from her final leg of her Eras Tour.
Rolling Stone reported that the docu-series will make its debut simultaneously, along with an extended concert film called Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show. They will premiere on Disney+ on December 12, 2025.
Two episodes of the series will be released on the day of the premiere, which will be followed by weekly releases of the remaining episodes. The series will feature insights from The Fate of Ophelia singer's collaborators and guest artists.
The country artist announced the news on October 13, 2025, on her social media platforms, such as X and Instagram. Swift shared a sneak peek into the series through a clip where she says, “The Eras Tour wasn’t the one where all pieces fell into place,” emphasizing her journey.

Taylor Swift surprised Swifties when she announced the six-part docuseries, The End of an Era, on October 13, 2025, during her appearance on Good Morning America.
It will be released on December 12, 2025, along with Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show. It is a concert film which will feature a live recording of Swift’s final performance on the Eras Tour held in December 2025 in Vancouver, British Columbia. It also includes footage of Swift’s performance from her album, The Tortured Poets Department.
The final leg of The Eras Tour was the North American extension, which reportedly spanned 18 shows starting from Miami in October 2024. It then traveled to New Orleans, Indianapolis, Toronto, and concluded in Vancouver.

According to a statement from a press release shared by People magazine, the docuseries will give “an intimate look at Taylor’s life as her tour made headlines and thrilled fans around the world.” It will also feature her family, friends, her fiancé Travis Kelce and celebrities like Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, Gracie Abrams, among others.
Taylor Swift also took to her Instagram to share the news with her 281 million followers. She wrote:
“It was the End of an Era and we knew it. We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety.”
Her message added:
“The Eras Tour | The Final Show, featuring the entire Tortured Poets Department set, and the first two episodes of The End of an Era, a 6-episode behind-the-scenes docuseries will be yours December 12th on @disneyplus”
Variety reported that the documentary is directed by Don Argott and co-directed by Sheena M Joyce. It is produced by Object & Animal. Meanwhile, the concert film is directed by Glenn Weiss.
