American television personality and The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has made news headlines after she abruptly ended a Zoom interview with Chicago’s WGN News on Friday, June 20, 2025.

The 53-year-old reality star joined WGN's morning news to discuss an upcoming event that is taking her to Zanies in Rosemont. However, things took a different turn when one of the news anchors, identified as Larry Potash, caught Teresa off guard with a question about her family's tax history:

“How is it that a family doesn’t pay their taxes for years?” the anchor asked.

Teresa Giudice, visibly uncomfortable, asks which family the host was referring to.

“What family are you talking about?”

Larry Potash clarified:

“I’m talking about your family. Isn’t that what the fraud charges were?”

Teresa didn't receive the question well and decided to cut short the online interview that had only lasted about three minutes, while saying:

“Okay, I’m hanging up, this is… Okay, let’s just hang up, that’s it.”

She is also opening a new restaurant and holds a successful podcast. She is coming to town next weekend for an event at Zanies in Rosemont.”

After exchanging pleasantries, Giudice discussed her time on the Real Housewives reality series. She revealed that after eighteen years of being on television, there are moments she looks back on and thinks,

“That wasn't a good one.”

She also spoke about her daughter's new show. She calls her amazing and expresses her anticipation for seeing her daughter on screen.

“I love watching her on TV and yeah its a great show. All the cast members are all great.”

Soon after, the second news anchor, Larry Potash, questions her about her family's tax crimes, leading to Teresa decisively ending the Zoom meeting.

Potash observed after the call disconnected:

“Wow, she didn't like that question. Wasn't that part of the show?”

It was reported that after being charged alongside her husband, Joe Giudice on the charges of conspiracy to commit mail fraud, wire fraud, and bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications, and bankruptcy fraud in a 39-count indictment, Teresa pled not guilty in 2013 and then guilty in 2014 after striking a deal with federal prosecutors.
