Directed by Lofty Nathan, The Carpenter's Son, is an upcoming French-American horror movie that is also written by Nathan. Featuring Nicolas Cage, FKA Twigs, Noah Jupe, and others, the movie is eagerly awaited by fans who want to see the veteran actor Nicolas Cage in a horror flick.

The teaser trailer for the movie was released recently, and the movie has themes of Biblical horror as it is the reimagining of Jesus’ childhood, following a family in Roman Egypt. Nicolas Cage has previously appeared in another horror movie, Longlegs, in 2024, and he played the killer in the psychologically unnerving movie.

Therefore, fans and critics await as the actor delves further into the horror genre, this time, into the realm of Biblical horror. Here’s what we know about The Carpenter's Son so far.

The Carpenter's Son reimagines Jesus’ childhood and is inspired by the apocryphal Infancy Gospel of Thomas. The movie focuses on a son called “The Boy,” and that role is played by Noah Jupe. The boy doubts his guardian, known as “The Carpenter” and the role of the carpenter is played by Nicolas Cage. Ultimately, the boy develops his own powers and rebels against the carpenter, which causes horrifying results.

The teaser for the movie was released recently, and while there is no definite date right now, Magnolia Pictures has advertised that it will arrive in “Fall 2025 AD”. Interestingly, FKA Twigs will play the role of “The Mother” in the film. In the brief teaser, the carpenter looks over a rising sun and observes the boy from a distance.
