Lynne Ramsay's Die, My Love, a dark comedy thriller starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, released a brand-new trailer. The film, set to premiere in theaters on November 7, chronicles the journey to psychosis of a married couple and new parents played by Lawrence and Pattison.
Die, My Love is the Oscar-winning director Ramsay's first film in seven years since the crime thriller You Were Never Really Here, starring Joaquin Phoenix. The film had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 17, earning a six-minute ovation from the audience following the premiere.
Here's everything we know about the film from the latest trailer.
Lynne Ramsay's Die, My Love reveals brand-new trailer ahead of theatrical release

Ramsay's Die, My Love is based on a 2017 novel of the same name by Ariana Harwicz. The novel centers around a new mother who slowly falls into psychosis under the burdens of postpartum depression, while her husband understands almost nothing about what she is going through, leading to a lot of discord and bickering between the two. All the constant bickering and barking (from their incessantly annoying dog) leads to the wife struggling with her mental health and wreaks havoc on their marriage.
The trailer begins with what appears to be a happy couple having the time of their lives in their car together, driving on the open road. The montages of the two dancing, celebrating, and playing around with each other establish the love that the two share:
"She's my baby, I'm his honey. Never gonna let you go" they sing-along
These montages then shift into a gradual descent into psychosis as Grace (Lawrence) struggles with her identity, with her existence, her career as a writer, and her marriage after the birth of her child:
"I'm stuck between wanting to do something and not wanting to do anything at all."
The Die, My Love trailer continues into darker and much more harrowing montages as Grace appears to be really struggling. We find her arguing with Jackson (Pattinson), who seems to be unaware and the least bothered by the fact that his wife is struggling and is busy drinking around his little kid. The next few montages define the thriller aspect, as they feature Grace licking glass panes, scratching wallpaper, and even smashing her head into glass.
The trailer ends with a haunting shot of a woman walking in a field holding on to a knife. The official synopsis for Die My Love reads:
"Grace, a writer and young mother, is slowly slipping into madness. Locked away in an old house in and around Montana, we see her acting increasingly agitated and erratic, leaving her companion, Jackson, increasingly worried and helpless."
Apart from Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, Die, My Love also stars Lakeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte, and Sissy Spacek.
The trailer doesn't reveal what or how exactly Grace's psychosis was triggered, whether it is postpartum depression or something else lurking below the surface, so we will have to wait until the November 7 theatrical release of Die, My Love to find out what happens.
