The full cast of Camp Rock 3 revealed

The much-awaited Camp Rock 3 is now in production, as the popular Jonas Brothers come back to the series, and Demi Lovato will also be a part of it as an executive producer. Based on Disney releases, the movie will have all three Jonas Brothers -- Joe, Nick, and Kevin -- return as the Gray brothers in the fictional band Connect 3.

Demi Lovato, who played Mitchie Torres in the show, won't be a cast member this time but will be involved behind the scenes. The film will feature a new cast in addition to the returning cast, with filming already in progress in Vancouver.

Disney has confirmed that the movie will be seen on Disney+ and also on the Disney Channel to reach a diverse audience. The series follows a number of years after the last sequel, with the reunion tour of the band and recruitment of new talent at Camp Rock introducing new campers into the limelight for the first time.

Camp Rock 3 will feature a diverse cast of new characters, broadening the original story by introducing fresh talents. This includes Liamani Segura as Sage, described as a determined camper, and Hudson Stone as her brother Desi.

Other new cast members are Malachi Barton playing Fletch, who is characterized as the rebellious camper, Lumi Pollack as Rosie, a cello player, and Casey Trotter taking the role of Cliff, a drummer. Brooklynn Pitts will play Callie, noted as a dance queen, while Ava Jean joins as Madison, an influencer. Also cast is Sherry Cola as the character of Lark.

The combination of these new characters being different camper archetypes vying for inclusion in the reunion tour opening act establishes the film's premise. The returning original cast features not just the Jonas Brothers but also Maria Canals-Barrera, reprising her role as Mitchie's mother, Connie.

Camp Rock 3: Plot and production information

The storyline of Camp Rock 3 is about the imaginary band Connect 3 losing their opening act to a big reunion tour. The band goes back to Camp Rock to scout new talent among the camp attendees. The plot follows the competition for an opportunity to share the stage with Connect 3 by the campers, highlighting obstacles, new friendships, and rivalries that arise along the way.

Camp Rock 3 is under the direction of Veronica Rodriguez, with a script by Eydie Faye and choreography by Jamal Sims. Shooting has just started in Vancouver, and the movie will come out on Disney+ and Disney Channel, with no release date set.

The other executive producers of the movie include Tim Federle, Betsy Sullenger, Spencer Berman, and Disney executive Gary Marsh. This third entry is 15 years since Camp Rock 2's release, and it's meant to revitalize the franchise's musical and narrative aspects for a new fan base without alienating longtime enthusiasts.
