However, the internet is not easily deterred, as they went on to share their conspiracy theories and opinions on the match. Some, however, commended Jake Paul for bringing more attention to the sport and being a good sport in general.

One user stated,

"Nah! Conspiracy theory says you were supposed to win because Joshua had been paid, but the payment wasn’t enough for him. So he hit you hard, you lost, and now you’re shocked."

Another expressed,

"Yasss Jake, clowning the haters like a true champ—paid to lose? Nah, you paid 'em back with that W energy! 😂🥊 Who's got their fave "talk your ish" moment from the ring that's still iconic? Spill below, fight fam—mine's your mic drops every time!"

One person commented on the post,

"don’t really know why everyone in the comments is laughing. jake paul isn’t my favorite figure here but you ALL would get beat tf up by him"

While the user wrote,

"It’s disappointing that the biggest matches in boxing right now are your matches with obvious outcomes. Not a knock on you but the state of the sport right now is shit"

And one user commended the internet star,

"A lot of hate out there but you created an amazing opportunity for a lot of fighters to get paid well and showcased last night. On top of that, it was Joshua’s biggest payday. Wild to step in there with a heavyweight champion. Big props to you"

After the brutal knockout, Jake Paul was taken to the hospital, where it was confirmed that he had broken his jaw in two places. Waking up from the surgery on Saturday, he shared an update with fans,

“Surgery went well thanks for all the love and support. 2 titanium plates on each side. Some teeth removed. Have to have only liquids for 7 days.”

This is the second loss of Paul’s boxing career; he is currently ranked 15th in the WBA cruiserweight rankings.
