After dropping its teaser in March, the makers have finally dropped the official trailer of The Life of Chuck on the internet. The nearly two-minute-long video begins with a voice-over that says:

We see a young kid looking into the sky at night. The video then moves on as we see a grown-up Chuck going through his life, as the voice-over says that life gets brighter with his being around. In the film, his life story is told in reverse—it begins with his demise and ends with his childhood days.

In September 2024, Flanagan gave an interview to The Hollywood Reporter where he spoke about his rapport with King. He said:
"We brought Doctor Sleep to screen in Maine, and I sat next to him in his hometown theater in Bangor. I didn’t look at the screen at all. I just kept trying to subtly gauge any reaction. If he nodded, I thought, “Great, it’s working!” If he sighed or shifted, it was like, “Oh, he hates it!” And that was a long movie. Two and a half hours later, he leaned over and said, “You did a great job.” I just about died. Then he drove me to his house. We ate pizza and chatted in his library. He’s the nicest."
The Life of Chuck is a departure from the horror genre that Flanagan is known for. will be released on June 6, 2025, by Neon.
