The official trailer for Madea’s Destination Wedding just dropped, and it’s already giving sun, sass, and complete chaos. The story kicks off when Madea’s grandniece Tiffany shocks the fam by announcing she’s marrying a rapper she met on a yacht, with the wedding set for two weeks later in the Bahamas.

To see that this character is still enduring, and people are still watching and enjoying and laughing, it’s really mind-blowing to me. I keep coming back because some of this is just escapism. Just let’s leave the world behind for a moment and come to Madea’s house, and have some good food and laugh, and cry and celebrate and be all of those things.”
