HBO Max has a new French drama called The Seduction, which sees the ascension of a woman initially disgraced and outcast. She eventually finds someone who can guide her through life, though the dynamic soon takes a darker turn as she begins plotting her revenge.

It is inspired by Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Dangerous Liaisons in English), a novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos. On IMDb, it is being described as "a prequel to Dangerous Liaisons, a 1988 film starring John Malkovich, Michelle Pfeiffer, Keanu Reeves, and more." In this "prequel," Anamaria Vartolomei, Vincent Lacoste, Diane Kruger, and more are starring as leads.
