The Wrong Paris is a romantic comedy film that dropped on Netflix on September 12, 2025.

What is the plot of The Wrong Paris?
Dawn (Miranda Cosgrove) is an aspiring artist who is broke. She plans to go to Paris to get enrolled in a training course. She becomes a part of a dating show that is set in the French capital. However, she realizes that it's actually Paris, Texas. During the show, she falls in love with a guy named Trey (Pierson Fodé), further complicating things for her.
How does The Wrong Paris end?
In The Wrong Paris, Trey and Dawn meet at the dating show called The Honeypot. The latter competes in the show for money, and because she thinks that its finale will take place in Paris, France. She hid this from Trey, who is falling for her. However, Alexis reveals everything to Trey, who then removes Dawn from the show.
Dawn moves to Paris and enrolls in the art school. Rachel, the producer of The Honeypot, tracks her and asks her to tell Trey about her love for him. She does the same, and Trey eventually realizes that she is being sincere after finding out that she gave up the prize amount to meet him.
The two then come up with a plan for her to make money. Dawn rejects his proposal on the show for which the channel pays her $250,000. The two then plan to reunite. The very end of the film showcases Dawn and Trey kissing. The film ends on a positive and happy note as the two lovers end up together.
We see Dawn going through a change as she was initially obsessed with going to Paris. However, circumstances changed her perspective on life and love because of which she returns to the show. The ending touches upon the ideas of our actions and their consequences.
In a Screen Rant interview, Cosgrove spoke about doing welding classes for preparation. She said,
"When I got to the class, it was a group class and there were about five or six men there. They were all in their fifties and wanting to learn how to weld... for very practical, normal, good reasons."
She added,
"I actually really liked welding. I thought it was really fun by the end, and I have so much respect for people who are really good at it because it's hard. It's not easy."
