As James Gunn’s Superman movie’s release date nears, we can’t help but be curious about the portrayal of the popular DC Hero and the storyline about Clark Kent’s life and struggle on Earth. By bringing Superman on screen, the film will also bring more popular DC characters, such as the villain, Lex Luthor.

Other than that, the film will also bring Clark Kent/Superman’s love interest, Lois Lane, who will be played by Rachel Brosnahan, who is known for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Brosnahan will play the feisty and smart colleague of Clark Kent in The Daily Planet and will be seen as being a little apprehensive of the superhero.

The DC superhero has been on screen since the 1940s. While in the 1940s, the Superman that we know was much more sanitized on screen, the same was the case with Joan Alexander’s Lois Lane.

However, while depicting an idealized version of the character, it still retained Lane’s confidence and her knack for stories to find and report, making it one of the early and memorable portrayals of the beloved character.

Erica Durance dazzled everyone with her performance as Lois Lane in the TV series Smallville. She joined the series in season 4 and remained in the series as a main character until the final season. Before Lois, the series focused on Clark and Lana Lang’s story, but it did not take long after Lois joined the show, and the story shifted.

While being as courageous as Superman, Durance’s Lois was depicted as having a totally different personality from Clark, which made their story more intriguing and made her role memorable.
