Classic fairy tale charm with a side of chaos! In this magical movie, Eleanor, played by Jillian Bell, is a rookie fairy godmother-in-training who might just need a fairy godmother of her own. Eleanor is sweet, bubbly, wildly optimistic and absolutely clueless about how the real world works. She’s determined to prove that happily-ever-afters still matter, even if she knocks over a few mailboxes or entire streetlights along the way. Her heart is in the right place, but her wand? Not so much. Spells misfire, animals talk at the worst times, and her attempts at “helping”, known for turning clam into chaos with a touch of glitter. In the movie, she stumbles into the modern world on a mission to help a grown-up single mom find her fairy tale ending. But instead of princess gowns and true love’s kiss, Eleanor finds coffee shops, emails, and zero patience for magic mishaps. This movie character shines because of her messiness, not in spite of it. Eleanor reaches the peak of clumsiness while spreading joy, reminding us that sometimes magic isn’t perfect, it’s just perfectly awkward. And that’s what makes this movie such a charming, laugh-filled ride.
