"This interview was clearly intended as comedy": Anthony Anderson ''regrets'' his sexual comments to Lindsay Lohan from a 2003 interview

The host of the Fox game show We Are Family, Anthony Anderson, is facing backlash and criticism for inappropriate comments he made to Lindsay Lohan in a 2003 interview, which is now making rounds on the internet.

In the interview at the time, Anderson said, “Well, you know, some men like ’em young,” after asking Lohan about her dating life. As the clip began going viral and the backlash grew, a spokesperson reached out and said:

''This interview was clearly intended as comedy.''

They also added that Anderson “regrets” if his joke came off as offensive or insensitive.

Anthony Anderson faces backlash as an old interview resurfaces

A 2003 interview on The Sharon Osbourne Show featuring Anderson and Lindsay Lohan has resurfaced. In the six-and-a-half-minute interview, Anthony makes several sexual comments about Lindsay. During the conversation, Lindsay mentioned that she and her friend Raven-Symoné had gotten an apartment in Los Angeles.

Anderson then commented on how Lindsay and her friend were both young and beautiful, asking:

''What gentlemen will be at the new pad?''

Lindsay replied that no one would be, emphasizing that she did not have a boyfriend. For context, Lohan was 17 at the time of the interview, while Anderson was 33 years old.

Anderson then responded:

''Hmm, she's single but looking!''

To which Lohan quickly replied that she was illegal for people who are older. Anderson then said:

''Well, you know, some men like 'em young. We ain't gonna mention no names, but, you know, I'm one of 'em.''

These comments from Anderson are now facing widespread criticism. A spokesperson for Anthony reached out to Entertainment Weekly and said this about the resurfaced video clip:

As of now, there’s no public statement from Lindsay Lohan condemning or commenting directly on the resurfaced 2003 interview with Anthony.
