Tiger Woods' former mistress, Rachel Uchitel, tied the knot with Dan Donovan on New Year's Eve. The couple hosted the wedding in their newly-renovated house in Palm Beach right before the year ended. Their wedding consisted of friends and family, including influential guests such as Kelly Dodd, Jill Zarin, Bam Margera, Heather McDonald, and Michael Lohan.In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Rachel shared why they decided to have the wedding at their new house. She said:"We love our home, and it felt more intimate to host it there... We just completed a major renovation, and this was the first time we're hosting since it was finished — it truly came down to the final days before everything was ready."The inspiration for their wedding was taken from a NYC nightclub owned by Uchitel's grandparents called El Morocco. For the wedding, Uchitel and Donovan worked with LewisMiller Design, as well as Danielle Elder from Classic Events, to make their vision come true.The color palette for the wedding was dark navy, champagne gold, and silver sparkle, with a zebra-striped dance floor. Rachel Uchitel also said:"There were subtle nods to that glamorous history throughout the décor... We very much leaned into the elegance and excitement of New Year’s Eve... We wanted the night to feel warm, celebratory and full of energy — not overly formal."The date for the wedding was also specifically chosen on the last day of the year because New Year's Eve for them:"symbolizes new beginnings, which felt perfectly aligned with our story," Rachel said. He is a life strategist and motivational speaker who has been close to Rachel's family for a long time. Tim is considered to be "chosen family."Rachel shared:"My father passed away when I was 15, and Tim also walked me down the aisle, which made that moment especially meaningful and emotional."For her wedding dress, Rachel wore an Oksana Mukha gown. The strapless ivory-shade dress had a corset bodice with a billowy skirt trailing the floor.Uchitel told PEOPLE what she envisioned when she thought about her wedding dress:"I wanted something that felt sophisticated and powerful while still romantic — something I'll love just as much decades from now when I look back at the photos."She completed her wedding look with heels from Amina Abdul Jalil. She paired her dress with an EDEN LUXE Bridal's Delphina veil and a chunky Nini Jewels necklace.She had three dress changes, including her wedding gown.
