Jedi are the Spider-Man of the Star Wars world; they attain great power, and with that, they are burdened with great responsibility. Armed with the coolest sword in the world, the Lightsaber, and mind tricks, they also have the power to leap higher than any NBA player.

Jedi are the peacekeepers, warriors, and the last resort to save the galaxy from the verge of collapse. There are so many Jedi that have graced the screen, books, and lore, but who are the powerful of them all? Powerful doesn't just mean the ability to blow up droids, slicing enemies like veggies in lightsaber battles; it is about having raw Force ability, excellent combat skills, motivational power, and immense swag.

So, who is the most powerful Jedi in Star Wars? Anakin? Yoda? Luke? If you want to know the answer, then you are at the right place. Here we ranked the 10 most powerful Force-wielding legends.

The 10 most powerful Jedi in Star Wars

If you were ever in a discussion where you couldn't agree upon who is the most powerful Jedi in Star Wars, then here is the list that will help you make that decision.

10) Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka might not be a Jedi anymore, but her skills etched her name among the legends forever. She was trained by the great Anakin Skywalker, and her journey from a snippy teenager to an intelligent and skillful warrior has gone down in history.

She is one of the coolest Jedi because of her dual lightsaber, unbreakable moral compass (walking away from the Jedi Council after noticing their flaws took guts), and the most inspiring comeback story.

9) Ki-Adi-Mundi

Ki-Adi-Mundi, or Mr. Conehead of the Star Wars universe, was a top-ranking Cerean with mad combat skills and monk-level mental discipline. He was one of the wisest members of the Jedi Council. He wasn't flashy when it came to showing his strategy-making skills or leadership roles, or surviving destructive wars.

He was calm in tough situations and rose from situations that would have broken any other Jedi. The only reason he is way down on the list is for not suspecting the entire clone betrayal.

8) Plo Koon

Plo Koon didn't get enough screen time throughout the Star Wars saga, but in Clone Wars and the expanded universe, he shows why he should be taken seriously. He could use a rare Force ability called Electric Judgement and was hence a respectable Jedi.

He was the ultimate telekinetic savant with superior swordsmanship. Also, he is credited with discovering Ahsoka. Sadly, he fell to Order 66, and fans lost a great warrior.

7) Mace Windu

Mace Windu was considered to be one of the most powerful Jedi Masters of the prequel era. One of his biggest flexes was that he wielded the Vaapad, a lightsaber that drew strength from the user's inner darkness without succumbing to it. The other one is that he once defeated Darth Sidious in a duel.

His great leadership during the Clone Wars earned him the respect of his peers. His greatest strength, his power, proved to be his greatest weakness, as it prevented him from showing compassion towards Anakin Skywalker, as it could have stopped him from turning towards the Dark Side.

6) Rey Skywalker

Whether you loved or hated the sequel trilogy, you cannot reject the fact that Rey Skywalker was a force to be reckoned with. She learned the Jedi skills in record time and fought Kylo Ren like a champion, and even defeated Palpatine 2.0 with two lightsabers.

5) Qui-Gon Jinn

Qui-Gon Jinn was way ahead of his time; his strong connection to the living Force gave him deep insight into it, thus allowing him to recognize the pattern of Jedi Prophecies. He mentored Obi-Wan Kenobi and discovered a young Anakin Skywalker, and shaped the fate of the entire galaxy.

He was able to discover that he could preserve his consciousness in the Force and communicate with his protege, Kenobi. He was the key to the training of Luke Skywalker.

4) Obi-Wan Kenobi

Finally, the list has gotten to the G.O.A.T.s of the Star Wars world. At number four is the king himself, the master Obi-Wan Kenobi. He was never flashy about his skills, but he was one of the most reliable, calm, and skillful Masters. He was one of the few who did not lose their marbles during Order 66.

His greatest achievements need a separate article, but to name a few, they include defeating Darth Maul (twice), sending off General Grievous running, and, of course, defeating the Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker, on Mustafar.

3) Anakin Skywalker

Anakin Skywalker, or the Chosen One, was conceived by the will of the Force and chosen to bring it into balance. Anakin proved himself to be an excellent warrior with superior dueling abilities and exceptional piloting skills countless times throughout Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Especially during his legendary battles against Count Dooku, General Grievous, and his old mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi. Anakin's profound connection to the Force made him master of the Dark Side, Darth Vader, and feared all over the galaxy. Just like his mentor, he possessed the ability to extend his power beyond his death and continued to mentor Ahsoka Tano.

2) Yoda

Yoda was the Grandmaster of the Jedi Council and had been serving for centuries by the time of the prequel trilogy. His immensely small stature contradicted the extent of his power, the ability to wield the Force, and deflect the Force Lighting with his bare hands.

His teachings focused on discipline, patience, and self-belief and influenced generations of Jedi. Despite his small size, his combat skills were far superior to many great warriors, including Count Dooku and even Emperor Palpatine. But what set him apart from other Masters was his profound understanding of the Force's true nature.

1) Luke Skywalker

Born to one of the legends of the galaxy but raised humbly as a farm boy on Tatooine, Luke Skywalker ended the Imperial era by sheer courage, determination, and loyalty towards his friends. His journey from a farm boy to one of the greatest Masters was possible because he was trained by not one but two great Masters himself, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda.

Through his high moral compass and compassion, he was able to turn Darth Vader back into Anakin Skywalker. He trained his nephew Ben Solo and later defeated him when he turned into Kylo Ren in what is remembered as a masterclass in tactics and intelligence.
