Troll 2 cast and character guide: Here’s who brought the Netflix film to life

Another troll has risen from the mountains in Troll 2, and people are panicking. In the film's trailer, we saw him looking through a mirror and a teen taking a selfie with him. He didn't realize what was coming as the big guy wreaks havoc there, turning a party into anarchy.

The film's synopsis (via IMDb) reads

"Nora, Andreas and Captain Kris leap back into action when a dangerous new troll awakes - and this time they'll need more help to take it down."

You'll see a few familiar faces returning to tackle the big threat that lies over the city. For the ones trying to save the day will also unite with another troll, who'll be fighting another one here.

Roar Uthaug and Espen Aukan return as the director and screenwriter, respectively, for the film starring Kim S. Falck-Jørgensen, Ine Marie Wilmann, Mads Sjøgård Pettersen, and more.

The film was mainly shot in Norway with scenery that would make anyone want to visit those places, even if they had a risk of encountering a troll there. A small price to pay for serenity, eh?

As of this writing, Troll 2 sits at 60% on the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, which is quite lower than the first film in the series. There's currently no website consensus.

Ine Marie Wilmann as Nora Tidemann

Nora Tidemann, played by Ine Marie Wilmann, returns as the lead character in Troll 2. She is a paleontologist whom the government hired to investigate the mysterious eruption, which turns out to be the act of a troll using mountains as camouflage. She used to hear stories from her dad, Tobias Tidemann (Gard B. Eidsvold), who died in the first film.

Kim S. Falck-Jørgensen as Andreas Isaksen

Kim S. Falck-Jørgensen's Andreas Isaksen is also one major returning character in Troll 2. He was the Prime Minister's advisor in the first film, who worked alongside Nora to tackle the threat of the awakened troll in the mountains. He is also a good guy, as he isn't in favor of blowing the troll up with a nuclear bomb because that would hurt the city, too.

Mads Sjøgård Pettersen as Major Kristoffer "Kris" Holm

Another major character returning in the Troll sequel is Major Kristoffer "Kris" Holm, who tags along with Nora to look into this mysterious investigation. He also leads a military operation against the troll, but, to the military's dismay, it simply angers the troll. He is a major helping hand to Nora, especially at the end of the film, when they come up with a plan to expose the big guy to UV lights, something trolls are sensitive to.
