UFC to reportedly pay tribute to Charlie Kirk during Noche UFC Main Event in San Antonio

TMZ has reported that Charlie Kirk will be honored at UFC’s Noche UFC event days after he was shot dead while speaking at a college event in Utah. The mixed martial arts promotion will reportedly pay tribute to the right-wing activist during their main event.

While the specifics of the ceremony are unknown, it is expected to occur in front of a large crowd at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio. On September 10, 2025, after news of Kirk’s assassination broke on the internet, the New York Yankees held a moment of silence in memory of Kirk.

Their X tweet showing a picture of Kirk on the Jumbotron also read:

"Before tonight's game we held a moment of silence in memoriam of Charlie Kirk. Kirk founded the youth activist group "Turning Point USA" and had become a fixture on college campuses. Charlie Kirk, a husband and father of two children, was 31 years old."

Erika Kirk got married to the political activist in May 2021. They have two children together. Erika Kirk gave a tearful address on September 13, 2025, where she promised to continue her husband’s legacy.

She started by thanking the first responders who battled to save her husband’s life, the White House and her husband’s staff. She maintained that she would continue her husband’s legacy;

"My husband's voice will remain."

And added:

"You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife; the cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry. They should all know this: if you thought that my husband's mission was powerful before you have no idea, you have no idea what you have just unleashed across this entire country and this world."

She addressed Donald Trump, who had been one of the first to pay tribute to the late activist on social media, stating that her late husband loved him. Erika also thanked Vice President Vance for accompanying the casket back to Charlie’s hometown in Arizona.
