The official plot synopsis of Under Fire, as per Rotten Tomatoes, reads,

"Two undercover agents for the FBI and DEA suddenly reveal their true identities during a cartel deal, each unaware the other was working the same case. Their surprise is short-lived when a hail of sniper bullets leaves them pinned down and outgunned."

It adds,

"Forced to rely on each other, the two agents must navigate a deadly cat-and-mouse game with an unseen sniper whose motives are as mysterious as his aim is deadly."

Adrian Speckert and Cory Todd Hughes have written the film's screenplay. They have previously collaborated on the script for the 2024 action thriller, Armor, which starred Sylvester Stallone and Jason Patric as the leads.
