Warfare Ending Explained: The Bradleys saved the soldiers in a nick of time

It was well established before Warfare was released that Elliott Miller survived the battle, so there's no spoiler in it. Cosmo Jarvis plays the character, who is the team's medic and sniper. The story takes place in a small region where the squad is trying to leave after they are attacked, and Elliot, alongside Sam (Joseph Quinn), is injured.

There's too much blood in one room, which spills as one grenade is sent in by a terrorist. This is where things begin taking shape, as Elliott needed immediate medical attention while Sam was still in a better condition comparatively.

Now everyone needs to get out of there, so they head towards the M2 Bradley, but an IED explodes. At this moment, it almost seems like these vehicles aren't of any use either. But rest assured, it is because of the Bradleys that the entire team is evacuated, though not all made it. But these tanks did help the survivors live to see the sun the next day.

There's a fear of an IED attack

It's the leader that the soldiers look up to who will guide them throughout whatever they are going through in a battlefield. However, Erik (Will Poulter), the Officer in Charge, gives it up. Now, that may sound wrong at first, but he is severely disoriented and is as good as a zombie to that squad. What would you do after experiencing a grenade and an IED at close range?

Now Erik has made Jake (Charles Melton) the Officer in Charge, and he now tries to get that support for the squad's evacuation. However, it fails as there is still some doubt regarding a potential IED attack, which may lead to more damage to the already damaged situation.

Warfare sees soldiers struggling to get out of the situation as fast as they can; this includes Jake's attempt to convince the communications officer to pose as a commanding officer. There's too much tension in the room, and we need to remember Elliott is holding on to his life there.

And Bradleys finally arrive in Warfare and the day is saved

It seems certainly the work of fiction wherein, in a war, a dying squad held on and helped arrive. Actually, several real-life battles have seen such a feat. Warfare's ending is one of them, given that it is based on real-life events. So, Bradley arrives to save the day.

Warfare then takes the two gravely wounded soldiers to these Bradleys; the squad themselves see to it. Two more Bradleys are asked to give them cover by taking down the roofs where terrorist activity is likely. With this, it gives cover to the squad, who make it to the vehicles for good.

They depart, and we can still see some small arms fire there; however, those bullets are of no use anyway. There's this scene where a jet flies past them, and that dusty cover that persisted after the Bradleys blew up the roofs got dense.

It is a fairly simple ending, but still so tense that when it ends, it will give the viewers a sigh of relief. That certainly would be the case with the soldiers who made it out of there.
