The official cause of death remains undisclosed, according to the Scranton Times-Tribune, which broke the news. The Wisconsin football program also confirmed Ferrario’s demise on Thursday, as per CBS Sports reports.
Bill Ferrario was married to Stephanie Ferrario, according to his official Facebook profile. However, his current marital status remains unknown. He described himself as a “single parent” on his Facebook bio.
Bill Ferrario is survived by his two children, son Chris and daughter Lucky, who were often featured on his social media.
His former team, the Wisconsin Badgers, mourned his demise on X.

According to his Facebook, he was together for over 17 years with Stephanie L. Ferrario, until 2020. Bill was a single father to two kids: son Chris and daughter Lucky. He celebrated Lucky’s high school graduation in May on Facebook.

According to her profile on the company website, she has both HR and marketing experience and works in recruitment and selection, incentive compensation research, training and development, and problem-solving on organizational issues.
Stephanie is also a certified Predictive Index analyst, which is a behavioral assessment tool aimed at recruiting, developing, and managing talent. Based in Wausau, she helps her clients deal with “people” issues and also possesses exceptional oration skills.
Bill's ex-wife has a Bachelor of Science degree in communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Stephanie is a member of the Central Wisconsin Society for Human Resource Management and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Exploring Bill Ferrario's career
Bill Ferrario began playing freshman football in the seventh grade before continuing to play football in his junior and senior years at West Scranton High School.
Later, he played college football and served as an offensive line guard and center for the Wisconsin Badgers while studying at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1997 to 2000. During this time, Ferrario played for the All-Big Ten and helped his alma mater win consecutive Rose Bowl Championships in 1999 and 2000.
In the fourth round of the 2001 NFL draft, Ferrario was selected by the Green Bay Packers and played with them through the 2002 season. The Washington Redskins signed him in February 2004, but soon released him after seven months. Later, he was picked by the Carolina Panthers in November 2004 and was with the team until August 2005.

Following his pro football career, Ferrario moved to Wausau, Wisconsin, where he became a realtor and a medical sales professional. He also coached local high school football teams. Bill Ferrario was also the co-host of the 217 South Mills podcast.
