All we need to know about Will Arnett and Bradley Cooper's friendship

Will Arnett and Bradley Cooper have shared a friendship for over two decades. They first met at a bar in New York City and instantly became close friends, Arnett explained during the world premiere of his film, Is This Thing On?, at the New York Film Festival in October.

Arnett also shared how they ended up living in the same apartment in California. He told People magazine:

“Then we were living in California, and I was looking for a place to stay, and he said, ‘Oh, my neighbor's moving out of this back building that we shared.’”

Both actors became busy with their individual careers, working on projects separately over the years. For instance, Will Arnett is featured in the Fox series Arrested Development and in films such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Lego Movie, and The Lego Batman Movie.

Cooper was seen in the Hangover franchise, American Sniper, and Aloha. He then ventured in the direction of A Star Is Born, starring alongside Lady Gaga.

The two actors then collaborated for the first time professionally while working on Is This Thing On?. They are not only a part of its cast but also wrote the screenplay along with Mark Chappell.

Sharing his views on his friend, Will Arnett, at the New York Film Festival, he explained that when he met him, he considered him the coolest and the funniest guy in the room. He then added further:

“Sometimes you meet these people and they go out of your life, but we stayed in each others lives for decades and now he’s somebody who I can consider one of my closest friends in my life, that I will take on my death bed, and know for a fact that I’ll think back and this his friendship meant the world to me.”

In his earlier interviews, Cooper has praised Will Arnett for being a voice of reason during a tough period in his life. The 30 Rock actor helped him understand that he had a problem with substance abuse by having a candid and difficult conversation with him in July 2004. He said that it was a pivotal moment in his career.

As both actors continue to sing praises for each other, their friendship continues to grow stronger over the years.
