Adrian Peterson’s net worth stands at -$12 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth. The former NFL star has found himself in trouble again after being arrested for DUI (Driving Under the Influence). He faced a similar arrest under DWI (Driving While Impaired) earlier this year in April, marking his second arrest this year.

He was reportedly arrested on October 26 in Sugar Land, Texas. However, further information about the case has not been released yet by the police.

Adrian Peterson's fortune explored

Adrian Peterson reportedly earned about $103 million throughout his NFL career, according to Celebrity Net Worth. This makes him one of the league’s top-earning players.

Thirteen years ago, in 2012, Vogue estimated his net worth to be $21.5 million, which included endorsements of around a million. However, as of now, the player is in hefty debt.

He borrowed $5.2 million nine years ago, but with interest and fees, the amount rose to $8.3 million in 2021. The loan was meant for a business deal advised by Wiseman, but when the company couldn’t pay it back, Peterson was held liable.

Speaking of the loan, Denise White, the CEO of Peterson's PR firm, Entertainers & Athletes Group, said in a statement reported by ESPN:

"The loan was for a company co-owned by Peterson, Wiseman, and another partner. As the majority owner, Peterson was made the guarantor of the loan, making him solely responsible for the collateral"

Last year, to pay $12 million, Peterson was told by a Houston judge to give up his assets.

Adrian Peterson also reportedly owned two homes, one in Texas and another in Houston, which he later sold. Talking about his financial condition, Peterson's attorney, Chase Carlson, said in a reported statement in 2019:

"The truth behind Adrian Peterson's current financial situation is more than is being reported at this time. Because of ongoing legal matters, I am unable to go into detail, but I will say this is yet another situation of an athlete trusting the wrong people and being taken advantage of by those he trusted."

Earlier this year, Celebrity Boxing's Damond Feldman, in a statement reported by Marca, said:

"We have officially signed NFL legend, Adrian Peterson, as he is going to take on Poker legend, 'Baby Joe'. This is the first match that will be in the Celebrity Boxing."

With the new DUI arrest, it’s not yet known how long Peterson will remain in custody or what charges he may face. Peterson is currently married to Ashley Brown.
