Two years ago, Paula Abdul filed a lawsuit against her fellow judge Nigel Lythgoe. According to the filing, Abdul claimed that she was sexually assaulted twice by the British producer and judge. The first assault allegedly happened during the early days of American Idol. The two were staying in a hotel and were traveling together. They were in an elevator when Abdul claimed that Nigel:"Grabbed her genitals and breasts" and followed by "shoving his tongue down her throat."The second alleged sexual assault happened in 2015. However, the 63-year-old singer-dancer revealed that Nigel tried to kiss her after he:"forced himself on top of Abdul while she was seated on his couch."She also revealed the reason why she did not report the two incidents when they happened. He also spoke to TMZ and said:"We live in a troubling time where a person is now automatically assumed to be guilty until proven innocent, a process that can take years. That is why, like Paula, I am glad to be able to put this behind me. I know the truth and that gives me great comfort."More recently, Lythgoe was spotted at the airport, and a TMZ reporter spoke to him. They asked if he feels the need to rebuild his legacy after the public legal battle last year, to which Nigel responded by saying:"I don't feel as though I might have to rebuild anything.
