On May 13, 2025, Bella Hadid stunned on the red carpet of the opening ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival 2025 in a sultry black gown from Saint Laurent. The 28-year-old supermodel posed for the cameras in a floor-length black dress that featured an asymmetrical and cowl neckline with strategic cutouts at the back and sides.
Rhinestone-encrusted Saint Laurent heels accented the cool black dress. The Chopard ambassador also showed off a stunning collection of jewelry on the red carpet, including 118.68 carat emerald earrings and a heart-shaped diamond ring in 12.15 carats. Bella Hadid also debuted a blonde hairstyle at the Cannes Film Festival.

Days before the opening ceremony of the illustrious event, authorities released a statement informing attendees that there would be zero tolerance for provocative and revealing dresses:
"For decency reasons, nudity is prohibited on the red carpet, as well as in any other area of the festival. Voluminous outfits, in particular those with a large train, that hinder the proper flow of traffic of guests and complicate seating in the theater are not permitted.”
The Cannes Film Festival's management added that anyone found in contravention of the dress rules would be removed from the red carpet:
"The festival welcoming teams will be obligated to prohibit red carpet access to anyone not respecting these rules.”
Bella Hadid’s Saint Laurent dress seemed to be within the dress code as she twirled on the red carpet without any incident. The model rocked her signature thin eyebrow look with smoky eyes and nude lips.
On May 12, 2025, Bella Hadid was photographed arriving at the Hotel Martinez in a white corset top, which she paired with flare pants and vintage Saint Laurent heels.
