Rapper-turned-record-producer Sean "Diddy" Combs' name has always been involved in Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls' assassinations, which took place in 1996 and 1997, respectively. While Tupac was shot on September 7, 1996, in a drive-by in Las Vegas and died after six days. Biggie Smalls died similarly, as he was shot on March 9, 1997, in a drive-by in Los Angeles.

Both Tupac, who was 25 at the time, and Biggie Smalls, who was 24, ended up dead primarily due to damaged friendships, extreme rivalries, and the infamous prolonged conflict between the East Coast and the West Coast. While Diddy has always denied any involvement in both of their murders, certain people think otherwise.

According to People, the Netflix original docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which was released on December 2, 2025, features a bunch of individuals who reportedly claim that there is a high possibility of Diddy, who was Biggie Smalls' producer and a close friend, being involved in both Biggie and Tupac's assassinations. The recently released docuseries explores Sean Combs' connection with both rappers from the past.

However, amid the release of the new Netflix docuseries on Diddy, netizens are curious to learn what Biggie Smalls' autopsy report said. According to a 2012 report by TMZ, the Big Poppa hitmaker Biggie's autopsy reports showed that he suffered gunshot wounds to his shoulder, forearms, legs, chest, and scrotum in 1997, the year he was killed.

As per his autopsy report, Biggie was shot four times in total. While the first three gunshots were not deadly, it was the last and fourth gunshot that killed him as the bullet entered through his right hip, ripping several crucial organs, including Biggie's colon, liver, heart, and a portion of his left lung. Following the incident, Biggie Smalls was taken to the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in LA, where he was pronounced dead.

Netflix docuseries reveal that Diddy was not helpful in Biggie's murder investigation

In the new Netflix docuseries, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, Greg Kading, a former Los Angeles Police Department detective, suggested that Sean Combs played no role and was not, in any way, helping in Biggie Smalls' murder investigation. Kading, in the docuseries, claimed:

"Sean clearly didn't do all that he could have done to help out in the investigation. In fact, he was a hindrance in the investigation. Puffy was kind of stonewalling people from talking, because he knows, if you make inroads on Biggie's murder, you're gonna make inroads on Tupac's murder and that potentially can lead right back to him."

Diddy, who is currently serving a 50-month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix, in New Jersey, for crimes related to prostitution, has always denied any involvement in both Tupac's and Biggie Smalls' deaths. However, as per People, during a 2017 interview on The Wendy Williams Show, Diddy addressed that he felt "some sort of responsibility" for the death of Notorious Thugs hitmaker, Biggie. Diddy said:

"He’s my artist. He was supposed to go to London that night and I let him talk me into not going to London and staying in L.A. That's something that really bothered me, throughout my life. That's one of those things that I regret, not making sure that he went to London."
