Danny Masterson has submitted a habeas corpus application to vacate his two rape convictions that led to his sentence of 30-years-to-life in prison.
In the petition submitted on November 17, that '70s Show actor's attorney Eric Multhaup claimed cumulative errors by plaintiff attorney Phillip Cohen, alleging ineffective assistance of counsel based on Cohen’s failure to call key witnesses and present exculpatory evidence that was potentially exculpatory and showed consent.

According to a report in ABC News, in September 2023, he was convicted of two counts of forcible r*pe for sexually assaulting two women in the early 2000s. He will serve two sentences for fifteen years consecutively, one for each charge. This adds up to a range of thirty years to life.
