Exploring Diplo's fortune in 2025

Thomas Wesley Pentz has been active in the music industry since 1997. Originally from Mississippi, he is part of the musical group Major Lazer, the supergroup LSD, the duo Silk City, and the electronic duo Jack Ü. The majority of his fortune comes from his music, tours, and partnerships, with some of his famous hits being Wish, Forever, Genius, Where Are U Now, and Heartbroken.

In 2017, Diplo ranked sixth among the world's top DJs, earning $28.5 million, according to Forbes. As of 2025, the BBC ranked him in the 11th position with net earnings of $15 million.

Thomas Wesley Pentz is a founder of the Australian organization Heaps Decent, which, according to the website:

"has helped create thousands of songs and art works with talented young Australians from radically diverse backgrounds, from across Sydney and more broadly in regional and remote NSW. Young people have been empowered to tell their unique stories through workshops, performances and mentoring schemes."

Diplo also founded the record label Mad Decent, which has signed artists like Major Lazer, DJ Snake, Rusko, Party Favor, and others. Another part of his earnings comes from his merchandise line, available on Mad Decent and his official website. Talking about the same, he told The Sunday Times, as reported by NME:

"I can’t make money off the sales, but I’ll make money off doing shows, or selling merchandise."

In another interview with Interview Magazine, he added:

"I was actually selling the mixtapes at Kim’s Video and different shops. I would go to, like, St. Mark’s Place [in New York] to sell cases of them. I made so much money when I was selling mixtapes hand to hand."

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Diplo's current home is Kid Rock's former Malibu property, which he bought in 2020 for $13.2 million. Diplo is also set to start his concert shows starting November 8, which is expected to increase his overall earnings.
