Hudson Williams and Jordan Firstman might have just buried the hatchet over the growing controversy over their two shows.

I Love LA's star Jordan Firstman, who is openly gay, called out the Canadian breakout LGBTQ show Heated Rivalry starring Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie. According to Firstman, the show is not authentic enough when showcasing intimacy between gay men. In an interview with Vulture, he said,

"Yeah, we’re going for it. It’s gay. I’m sorry, I watched those first two episodes of ‘Heated Rivalry’ and it’s just not gay. It’s not how gay people f**k. There’s so few things that actually show gay s*x.”

But it seems his goal wasn't to "attack" the show but to express a lack of true LGBTQ representation in the industry.

"But they want to see ‘Heated Rivalry.’ I go to art to be confronted and to think, but a lot of people just want entertainment or to see two straight hockey players pretending to be gay and f*cking.”

He tried to smooth out the impact of his aggressive comments by posting a story the next day expressing,

"I love ‘Heated Rivalry’ and ultimately I’m a f-ggot who can’t shut the f*ck up but I’m gunna get better at that.”

Heated Rivalry actor François Arnaud, who came out as bi in 2020, gave his two cents on Jordan's point of view by commenting on an Instagram post reporting Firstman’s criticism,

"Is there only one way to have ‘authentic’ gay sex on tv? Should the s*x that closeted hockey players have look like the s*x that sceney LA gay guys have?”

And to show his support, Hudson Williams reshared the comment to his Instagram Story and wrote,

“But truly go watch ‘I Love LA’! Jordan and the cast are great!”

Hudson Williams and Jordan Firstman bury the hatchet

Though things seemed intense for a second there, Hudson Williams, who plays Shane Hollander on the show, allegedly shut down all the rumors of any beef between the cast members of the two trending shows, as on Wednesday, the Canadian actor posted a selfie with Firstman on his Instagram Story.

In the Story, the two have their heads bent together as they both smoke a cigarette. He tagged Jordan and added a heart emoji on the picture. The playwright and actor then reposted the story, showcasing that things had maybe cooled down and the situation wasn't as serious.

Jordan's comments also received a lot of backlash from fans, as well as from François Arnaud, who plays Scott Hunter, and the show's creator, Jacob Tierney, who is also openly gay.
