Late child actor Sawyer Sweeten was the only one missing from the cast of Everybody Loves Raymond that recently reunited for the show’s 30th anniversary special. However, his real-life and onscreen siblings, Madylin Sweeten and Sullivan Sweeten, joined in the celebration, which was aired on CBS and Paramount+ on November 24.

After Sawyer Sweeten died by s*icide in 2015, Sullivan moved away from the limelight, except for appearing on the 2017 television short, Casting. As for Madylin, she got married and continued to act in soap operas, such as in a 2017 episode of Grey’s Anatomy.

Sullivan, 30, is the identical twin of Sawyer and together they played the roles of Barone twins, Geoffrey and Michael, on Everybody Loves Raymond. Just like in real life, Madylin appeared as their elder sister, Ally Barone. The brothers were 16 months old when they joined the show, while their sister was 5 years old.

The show ran on CBS for nine seasons between September 1996 and May 2005.

Sawyer Sweeten k*lled himself with a self-inflicted bullet wound to the head on April 23, 2015, a few weeks before his and Sullivan’s 20th birthday. While the twins shared a home in Riverdale, California, at the time of his death, Sawyer was visiting his family in Austin, Texas.

Besides Everybody Loves Raymond, the brothers also appeared on the 2000 Disney series Even Steven, where they shared the role of Milton. Two years later, they played the role of young Frank in the movie, Frank McKlusky, C.I.

Madylin, 34, is four years older than Sullivan and Sawyer Sweeten and is the eldest sibling. They have more siblings, including their youngest sister, Maysa. None of them entered the entertainment industry.

Madylin’s acting debut was as Alexandra “Ally” Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond in 1996. That same year, she appeared as Young Debra on the TV movie A Promise to Carolyn.

While also filming for the CBS family drama, Madylin Sweeten appeared in TV and feature films, including The Christmas Path, A Dog of Flanders, Toy Story 2, Ask Me No Questions, and American Splendor.

Madylin returned to acting in 2008 with Eagle Eye, only to go back to maintaining a low profile. Between 2013 and 2017, she was part of the cast of TMI Hollywood, New Year’s Eve, Sam & Me, and Dirty John.

Her last project was a brief role on the Netflix urban fantasy series Lucifer in 2019. She is now part of the Los Angeles-based arts nonprofit LACAE and a furniture designer at the Joneses LA.

Madylin Sweeten married Sean Durrie in 2018. In April 2025, they welcomed their first child, River. Her husband and son accompanied her to the recent reunion.

Every year on the death anniversary of Sawyer Sweeten, Madylin celebrates his life with her brand, Design by Durrie, according to TV Insider.
