What happened on the set of Millie Bobby Brown’s Enola Holmes 3 in Malta? Source calls it 'just really unfortunate'

The crew of Millie Bobby Brown’s forthcoming film Enola Holmes 3 recently moved to Malta for its final weeks of shooting, after earlier filming at Shepperton Studios. However, as per a recent report from The Sun, many crew members fell ill with food poisoning after reaching Malta for the filming. The cause was reportedly linked to the catering.

According to the source statement reported by The Sun:

"Millie and her co-stars were in the middle of filming when people started to get sick. It’s a nightmare because these productions run to such tight schedules and filming had to be stopped. There were a fair few affected and it meant everything had to grind to a halt until they got better."

The source revealed the cause by saying,

"It ended up being a bout of food poisoning, which is just really unfortunate. Luckily it wasn’t anything too serious and everyone recovered but it put pressure on them in terms of hitting deadlines."

As per the statement, everyone who got sick is now fine. However, the names of the cast or crew members who were affected were not shared.

When is Millie Bobby Brown's movie Enola Homes 3 releasing?

Speaking at the Tudum Event, Millie Bobby Brown said,

"Unfortunately, I can't be there with you guys because I'm filming Enola Holmes right now in London."

The statement from Brown came as a confirmation that part three of the Sherlock Holmes spinoff series is in filming. As per People, the film is expected to be released on Netflix in 2026.

Netflix has not yet officially announced the release date of the movie or added the trailer of the same. Additionally, the recent food poisoning incident might also impact the overall shooting.

In the upcoming movie, Brown will be playing the role of Enola Holmes alongside Louis Partridge, who is playing Tewkesbury. Himesh Patel will be playing Dr. Watson, and Henry Cavill will be playing the role of Sherlock Holmes, who is Enola Holmes's brother.

Millie Bobby Brown, being in the cast, is also a producer of the movie. Part one of Enola Holmes was released in 2020, and the second part of the movie dropped after two years in 2022. Fans are eager to know what story the third film will narrate. The fim is made in partnership with Netflix and is available on Netflix to watch.

Millie Bobby Brown will also star in the upcoming season of Stranger Things, scheduled to be released in November.
