Understanding the reason behind Spencer Lofranco’s disappearance

Spencer Lofranco’s disappearance from acting in 2018 appears to be a result of a combination of his personal challenges following the infamous hit-and-run incident.

In 2013, Lofranco hit cyclist Camille Banham with his SUV, causing her severe injuries, including a broken hip and multiple fractures. According to a report in CBS News, he initially apologized at the scene but drove off without offering help.

This incident led to his conviction for misdemeanor hit and run for which he was sentenced to 50 days of community service, two years of probation and was ordered to pay $161,000 in restitution.

Reports indicate that after the incident, Spencer Lofranco became homeless by his own choice. Several reports indicated that although he left the entertainment industry, he continued to appear on TikTok.

In one of the videos from November 2021, fans noticed him speaking directly to his followers. In the viral clip he told them that he has reached a point in his life where he “doesn’t give a f--k what people think anymore.

Spencer Lofranco was born in Toronto in 1992. After studying at the New York Film Academy, he ventured into the entertainment industry as an actor. He bagged his first role in 2013 in the indie romantic comedy At Middleton, starring opposite Andy García and Vera Farmiga.

He embarked on his acting journey at the age of 17. During an interview with Interview Magazine he said:

“I decided I wanted to be an actor when I was 17. I was always funny guy, always trying to make people laugh and always the center of attention. I guess I was being an actor my whole life. I finally realized what I was doing and it was just getting me in trouble. I went to summer acting classes. Then I did a year conservatory at New York Film Academy and then that’s when I got Jamesy Boy.”

In 2014, he was seen in the crime drama Jamesy Boy, where he played the lead role of James Burns. He then portrayed as Harry Brooks in Angelina Jolie’s biographical war drama, Unbroken.
