The Tennessee Titans have suffered another blow in their preparations for the NFL preseason, with Treylon Burks reportedly out for action for the foreseeable future. The wide receiver suffered a freak shoulder injury during a diving catch attempt, as per NFL Network.

The incident reportedly occurred at the Nisam Stadium during one of the training sessions, which left Treylon Burks writhing in pain after he landed awkwardly on his shoulder. According to NFL Network, Burks headed straight for the locker room while clutching his right shoulder even as he was being attended by the training staff.

The same has also been Titans coach Brian Callahan, who has released a statement to the press informing the public of the recent state of developments:

"Treylon Burks is being evaluated right now for a shoulder injury and we'll have an update on his status at the appropriate time."

It has been revealed by NFL Network that the incident has left Burks with a fractured collarbone that will impact his start to the regular season. Burks has had a troubled fitness record over the past few years, and the news comes just weeks after he reported to training after a long ACL-induced layoff.

The news also comes just a few days after quarterback Will Levis suffered a similar fate, as he has been ruled out of the 2025 season with a shoulder injury. Burks had reportedly been impressing new general manager Mike Borgonzi in the training sessions, but his sudden injury has forced the Titans to scour the market for replacements.

Treylon Burks' past injury record

Treylon Burks' NFL career has been marked by flashes of brilliance interrupted by unfortunate injuries. He has missed several games over the past couple of years due to various injuries, such as knee problems and ACL issues. As a result of the injuries, he has started only 17 of 27 possible games in his career.

Burks spent the majority of the last season on the sidelines after he suffered a torn ACL just five games into the season. After a long period of recuperation, Burks reported for the preseason in rejuvenated spirits and looked set to start the season on a positive note.

Trelyon Burks also opened up about his injury troubles after the first day of the training camp, in which he said:

"The last three years, my injuries limited me from being who I really am. I feel like I'm in a good place, man. God has brought me from the lowest to the highest and highest to the lowest. I'm blessed for that. I am not worried about whoever is in the room or whoever we've got. We're a team and we're going to go out and play ball."

The impact of Treylon Burks' injury on the Titans’ offensive plans cannot be overstated as they enter a rebuilding phase. His injury has forced the Titans to look elsewhere, and they are reportedly set to sign Ramel Keyton in the coming days, as per ESPN.
