Jax Taylor, a renowned model, TV personality, and reality TV star, has ended his partnership with the Los Angeles bar Jax’s Studio City. The 46-year-old shared the news via Instagram Stories, stating that although the decision wasn’t an easy one, it had to be done as his focus was on his health.
He wrote on his Instagram Stories:
"I've made the decision to end my partnership with Jax's. It wasn't an easy decision, but it was the right one. Right now, my focus is on my sobriety and mental health, and staying connected to my bar is no longer in line with the priorities I've set for myself and the life I'm working towards."
Taylor has a net worth of $4 million according to Celebrity Net Worth. Apart from being a partner at Jax's Studio City, he is known for his appearance in reality shows Vanderpump Rules and The Valley.
Jax Taylor, in 2023, partnered with his then-wife, Brittany Cartwright, and a few others to open Jax’s Studio City. Earlier, fans noticed that the restaurant’s sign had been taken down and asked questions about what that meant for the business. The Instagram account for the bar has assured customers that they would still be open for business, so it would seem that the company continues even without Jack Taylor as a partner.
"It just didn’t seem to make a lot of sense for me to walk right back into filming," Jax Taylor says as he confirms exit from The Valley
Taylor is not only stepping back from his partnership with his bar, but he has also put a pause on filming the reality TV series The Valley. The online personality made this known in a July 24, 2025, episode of his podcast In the Mind of Jax Taylor, adding that the decision to quit temporarily made sense to him:
"The more I talked about it with everybody, it just didn’t seem to make a lot of sense for me to walk right back into filming right away.”
He explained that his divorce from former wife Brittany Cartwright was highly publicized on the show’s second season and didn’t want more drama in the upcoming one:
“We get past a lot of stuff after filming, and then we have to relive it again,” he shared. “You know when the show comes on, so that kind of never allows the wound to technically heal because now the scab keeps getting ripped open.”
Jax Taylor, who has struggled with his mental health and substance abuse, concluded that his recovery was the most important thing to him.
