John Schneider, best known for playing Bo Duke on The Dukes of Hazzard, shared his opinions on the mysterious drones spotted across the U.S. In a recent post on his social media, the actor suggested that people act independently.

The recent drone sightings in places like New Jersey, New York, and Ohio have raised eyebrows. Officials have ascribed most reports as cases of mistaken identification, stressing that none posed a confirmed security threat or malicious action.

John Schneider’s post, calling on people to “shoot the drones,” received mixed reviews, with many fans reminiscing about the fun-loving, free spirit that saw John Schneider through his Dukes of Hazzard acting days while others disagreed with his call to action.

One fan on the internet wrote:

"Love it! Good old Dukes of Hazzard style!"

John Schneider received support from fans and internet users who were frustrated by the issue, voicing what they felt was righteous.

"Surprised no one has done this yet" one fan wrote.
"It's easier to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission." commented a X user
"Especially if they are going to interfere in an airport" said an internet user
"It amazes me that we seem to just be sitting ducks for whoever." remarked another X user
"Yes, sir Mr Kent, Bo Duke I agree, keep our great nation safe!" commented a fan

On the other hand, some people criticized John Schneider for his take on the issue. They were skeptical of such actions, claiming that doing so was unlawful and dangerous.

"Everybody is a bad ass until they are standing in front of a judge for sentencing." X user remarked.
"If they are working for us... that would be a terrible idea." Wrote another
"Right. It's always smart to shoot at things that you don't know what they are." internet user sarcastically remarked.
"Some a**hole is going to shoot at a commercial airliner and get people killed due to this type of hysterical b*llsh*t." said another internet user.

Concerns regarding the mysterious drones

The current drone problem started on Nov. 18, when sightings were reported near Morris County, New Jersey, and later in other states, including New York, Ohio, and Connecticut.

The drones were spotted over key infrastructure sites, sensitive locations, and urban neighborhoods. The reports often noted coordinated movements and extended flights.

John Kirby, spokesman for the White House National Security Council, stated that there was no threat to national security and that the drones sighted were flying legally.

Acts of harming or destroying unmanned aerial vehicles or drones are punishable under the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Authorities have advised people to report any suspicious drones to local law enforcement or the FAA so that they may investigate further.
