Recently, American country singer and songwriter Jon Pardi faced severe backlash after his performance at the Big 12 Championship Game halftime show.

The Dirt on My Boots hitmaker commandeered the stage for ten minutes during the halftime show of the Texas Tech-BYU game. The game was held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Jon Pardin is worth $4 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

He gained prominence in 2014 with his debut album, Write You a Song, which featured the hit single "Head Over Boots." Since then, the 40-year-old singer has made a name for himself in the traditional country music community.

In an exclusive interview with Esquire, Jon spoke about the evolution of country music and how it has become harder to define the genre, especially in the contemporary music scene.

“In all honesty, I don’t know what country music is anymore. We got Hardy heavy-metal country, we’ve got Beyoncé country, Morgan Wallen country, Jelly Roll. Everybody’s bringing in the stuff they grew up listening to, and it’s awesome. If it’s a good song and it’s moving the soul and it has some semblance of country, we’re stamping it country music.”

He added:

“I was like, ‘Well, hell, let me do some stuff.’ Maybe it’s time when I can step out a little.”

Jon Pardi is the father of two beautiful daughters, Presley and Sienna. The Heartache Medication crooner recently elaborated on the experience of being a girl's dad in an exclusive interview with Country Now.

“It’s all sweet. They’re a lot of fun and they got a lot of personality and we do hang out quite a bit.”

He continued talking about his daughters’ personalities.

“Presley loves getting into the tractor. I promised her that when I get back today, we’re going to feed the cows and she rides with me in the tractor and we feed the cows. And so she loves all that stuff but she also loves her tea time and she loves to draw. And so the kids are very active in fun things.”

He shared that Sienna was more athletic than her sister.

“We think Sienna’s going to be a little more athlete and Presley is going to be more of a dancer singer, girl.”
