American television personality Willie Robertson recently talked about his mother's health update. During an exclusive interview, the Duck Dynasty star told Parade that his mother, Miss KayRobertson, underwent a minor surgery a few days ago (July 23). He gave fans a little update on how she is doing. He said:
"She's had some physical problems [but is] doing great. She had a little surgery yesterday, and she’s blowing my mind how well she's doing. She's still spicy and is funny as ever. It's been fun trying to help her along as she goes through the process. She's doing great."
He further elaborated what kind of surgery Miss KayRobertson had by saying:
"It wasn't major surgery. It was with her gallbladder, that's what it involved, issues from that. But I was shocked at how quickly she [recovered]. She got me. I said [to her], 'I think you were just faking,' because she was doing so good. And the doctor said he was really expecting her to bounce back quickly from it."
Willie Robertson also shared that he and his wife were there for his mother in the hospital throughout the process. He shared:
"We spent a lot of time with her there. She’s already back home and doing great. Wherever she's at, we’ll be!"
Willie Robertson reveals what you can expect from Duck Dynasty: The Revival
Duck Dynasty: The Revival will see more of Willie and Korie, along with their two children and grandchildren. Viewers will also see Willie's father, Phil's memorial, which took place while they were filming.
During the interview, Willie Robertson also talked about his father's passing, which happened two months ago (May 25). He said:
"I kind of miss just him being around, being able to tell him what's going on. But, with his condition of Alzheimer's, it was like I hadn't had that for a while. It's a weird spot, kind of the dreadfulness of that disease is that you watch somebody degrade down to where he was. But I guess the positive thing is, you're mentally ready. You know this is going to happen."
He continued:
"For him and his life, it was a joy. He was so confident where he was going and the faith that he professed his whole life once he turned his life around. He warned me before, 'Don't cry at my funeral. I know where I'm going.'"
Willie Robertson has confirmed that his mother is recovering well after her gallbladder surgery, and remains "spicy and funny as ever." She is surrounded by her family and is already back at home, where they are taking care of her.
