Kyle Richards of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills candidly opened up about her se*uality at BravoCon 2025.

Socialite and television personality Kyle Egan Richards Umansky, or just Kyle Richards, shared her experiences with her se*uality and the growth and evolution she has gone through at BraveCon this year.
Richards told Variety, “I don’t like labels, I guess,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I could go Brad, I could go Angelina.” And further doubled down on the fact that she is not paying heed to what people have to say about it. “I think people can think whatever they want."
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills original cast member further shared her experience,
“I always had a type, tall, dark and handsome, and that’s what I married," referring to estranged husband Mauricio Umansky. "I am growing and evolving, and my mind has opened up. So I don’t know. I don’t know what the future holds now, and I’m fine with that.”
But just because Kyle Richards is changing, open, and growing doesn't mean she wants to be set up or dive into another relationship after separating from her husband in 2023.
“I’m just here to see what life brings me, honestly. I don’t want to be set up with anybody. Whatever happens, happens, and I’m good with that. I like hanging out with myself alone too.”
The Bravolebrity had initially shared with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” how she opened up to her kids, Alexia, 29, Sophia, 25, and Portia, 17, about this change and how it was one of the most difficult things she has ever done.
“It was the most difficult conversation I’ve ever had with my children, and I was terrified to have that conversation. I just wanted to be as honest as I possibly could.”
She further added, “I like to lead by example and I thought, ‘You know, if this is what I’m going through and feeling, I want them to always feel comfortable enough to share with me the hardest conversations and know that they’ll be accepted no matter what.'”
Kyle Richards on TRHBH season 15
The former child actress also used BraveCon to talk about the upcoming season of the popular household favorite reality show. Kyle Richards spoke about her hesitance to come back with Variety magazine.
"Coming back to the show was also very scary for me, but I was also afraid of change. When that time does come, it’s going to be another loss, because it’s such a part of your life after 15 years. So I was afraid. I was honestly afraid."
But the importance of the show to her life trumps her fears.
"It’s part of my life. It’s weird — sometimes I don’t want it to be part of my life! Like last year, when I walked off filming. I am someone who is a multitasker, who likes to juggle a lot of things and have a million balls in the air. And that would be a very big piece of my life that would change. So it was fear-based, honestly."
Further addressing issues from last season and reuniting with people she is close to, Erika and Sutton, and people she fell out with, Dorit.
Speaking of her relationship with Dorit, she said,
"I would say that we have made great progress — and then went backwards again. So you’re going to have to watch the show to see that. I think it’s hard to get to a better place because of what she’s going through?'
In the last season, one of the major events that led to the massive falling out between the two after a strained friendship was when Kyle Richards was found to be texting Dorit's estranged husband, PK Kemsley, which led to a huge argument between the two. However, they do seem to have worked out a few of the issues since then.
According to Kyle Richards, season 15 is "a good season." It’s gonna be a fun ride for the audience for sure. Lots of drama, of course, and I think there’s a lot of laughs too."
The new season is set to premiere on December 4.
