South Korean actress Lee Seo-yi passed away on June 20 at the age of 43. The news was announced by her manager, Mr. A, who wrote on social media:

"A brilliant, beautiful, lovely, and kind sister has left us on June 20, 2025, to become a star in heaven. Everyone must be surprised and saddened by the news of her passing, but I ask you to pray that she can go to a good, beautiful place. If anyone is curious about where she is, please contact this number."

In a statement shared with OSEN, Mr. A remembered the late actress by saying:

"My sister was bright and loved acting so much. She was a beloved sister who was grateful and happy to act, even in small roles."

The cause of her death has not been revealed yet. Lee Seo-yi's most recent drama, The Divorce Insurance, was released in March 2025. Seo-yi appeared in a guest role in the drama. The drama has an over 7.5-star rating on MyDramaList and gained attention from drama fans for its unique storyline, which revolved around two divorcees, No Gi Jun and Kang Han Deul.

Lee Seo-yi appeared in several movies and TV shows over the years. As reported by MyDramaList, she made her drama debut with a guest role in Cheongdamdong Scandal in 2014. After that, she continued to appear in guest roles in shows like Romance Special Law and Bravo My Life.

Along with acting, the actress reportedly worked in a flower shop. Her manager also added in the tribute statement:

"My sister ran a flower shop while pursuing acting."

The statement continues:

"The sister I knew always had courage and perseverance. In everything entrusted to my sister, she worked harder than anyone else, even in small roles, and lived with gratitude"

As per ChosunBiz, the flower shop was all set to open again after three months, in September, after some repair and update work.

As of now, MyDramaList doesn’t show any upcoming shows for Lee Seo-yi. It’s unclear whether she had any unreleased projects, leaving fans guessing if there’s more of her work yet to be seen.
