Paris Jackson has taken legal action against the managers of her father’s estate. On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, the 27-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson filed a legal action against the late singer’s estate executors, citing mismanagement and expressing her dissatisfaction with the estate’s accounting. Paris revealed in the filing that she received the estate’s accounting for 2021 and was not satisfied with the recordings.

She expressed that “enormous sums of cash” were unaccounted for and mismanaged. Paris claimed that the co-executors of the estate, John Branca and John McClain, were not making investments that were beneficial for her and her siblings.

A part of the court filing read as per People magazine:

“Paris is increasingly concerned the Estate has become the vehicle for John Branca to enrich and aggrandise himself, rather than serve the beneficiaries’ best interests and steadfastly preserve her father’s legacy.”

Aside from expressing concern over the management of her father’s estate, Paris Jackson also made serious allegations against John Branca and John McClain. She alleged that the duo pocketed over ten million dollars, which she claimed was “more than double the amount distributed to any beneficiary from the family allowance.”

In the lawsuit, she shared that the executors earned a total of $148 million in compensation by the end of 2021, adding that the amount “dwarfs any amount distributed to Paris or her siblings.” Paris alleged that Branca and McClain are holding onto more than $464 million in cash and, due to unproductive investments, are gaining less than 0.1%.

“The estate has morphed into a private entertainment investment fund managed more for the benefit of Executors and their counsel than its beneficiaries,” the filing read.

While the Jackson estate has not debunked Paris Jackson’s allegations, an inside source claimed that Paris’s allegations were not true.

“This is another misguided attempt by Paris Jackson’s attorneys to provide themselves cover. The fact is Paris Jackson’ lawyers lost their latest case against the Estate and have been ordered to pay the Estate’s attorney’s expenses. All the beneficiaries are well taken care of by the Estate. This is a weak attempt to change the narrative of their loss.”
