Kris Jenner has filed the paperwork to launch her own production company, according to reports. As per TMZ, a trademark has already been filed for the company that will be named "Kris Jenner Productions." The project will give her the ability to produce and develop TV programming and digital content outside the constraints of the existing family business model.

Jenner is also an influential figure at Kardashian Jenner Productions, which specializes in the production of entertainment and pop culture content. The next venture presents a strategic change in the Kardashians' entertainment business since Jenner has decided not to use the family's name in the business project anymore.

Kris Jenner's business ventures

While Kris Jenner started her career in the airline and event management industry, which provided her with the nous to manage different businesses simultaneously. She also worked in the retail and media sector before she dived into the world of production.

Jenner has been behind the media empire of the Kardashian-Jenner family for a long time. She was part of the launch of Keeping Up With the Kardashians (KUWTK), in which she was an executive producer for all 20 seasons. She has contributed to these productions, as well as the release of KUWTK spinoffs and the Hulu show The Kardashians.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians ended in 2020, and the finale was broadcast a year later during the COVID-19 pandemic. Once the show was canceled, an insider revealed the behind-the-scenes reasons in an interview with ET.

"There was no big reason why the family decided to end KUWTK; it was a mutual decision. The kids who started the show now have their own kids and it’s getting very hard to film all together or get enough footage separately. The family is grateful for their time and is happy they have all of these memories filmed for the rest of their lives. The family wanted time to focus more on their family and future projects and the show is a major job that takes up a lot of time."

Through her existing company, Jenner Communications, Kris has overseen both the family’s onscreen content and managed the business operations of her children’s brands.

Kris Jenner’s recent actions seem catered towards creating a brand distinct from her children and establishing herself as a legitimate media mogul with diverse business interests.
