It was the time when Steve took control of the park's management from his parents.Rather than going on a honeymoon after their marriage, Robert Irwin’s parents planned to film a wildlife documentary about relocating a problem crocodile. This documentary served as the foundation for their successful TV series, The Crocodile Hunter. They became parents to their daughter, Bindi, in July 1998, and then welcomed their son in 2003. When they grew up, they decided to follow their father’s footsteps by becoming dedicated conservationists and actively work at the Australia Zoo.Steve passed away tragically in 2006 after a stingray pierced him in the chest. After his death, Terri continued to raise her children as a single mother.
