Taylor Swift has performed over 60 songs throughout her Eras Tour concerts, from Cruel Summer to Delicate to Blank Space and Cardigan, among the many other songs from her extensive catalog. This was done in part with the singer's surprise song sets during the concerts, in which she rotated songs from her catalog that were not part of the main setlists.

The singer has now wrapped up her Eras Tour, with the final show held at the BC Palace in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on December 8, 2024. The singer's final setlist included the surprise song mashup of A Place In This World and New Romantics from Taylor Swift and 1989.

Her other surprise song was also a mashup, featuring Long Live, New Year’s Day, and The Manuscript from Speak Now, Reputation, and The Tortured Poets Department.

The singer has however never played some songs from her catalog. These songs include That’s When, Ronan, and Soon You’ll Get Better, among others. These songs are briefly explored in the sections below.

The songs that Taylor Swift never played in the Eras Tour

Taylor Swift did not play six songs from her studio albums during the Eras Tour. These six songs from her albums are:

  • That's When feat Keith Urban
  • Bye Bye Baby
  • Girl At Home
  • Forever Winter
  • Ronan
  • Soon You'll Get Better feat The Chicks.

Alongside the songs from her album, the singer also did not play a few other songs, which are given below:

  • Only The Young
  • Beautiful Ghosts
  • Both of US
  • Renegade
  • Highway Don't Care
  • Beautiful eyes
  • I Heart
  • Christmas Tree Farm
  • Last Christmas
  • Christmas When You Were Mine
  • Santa Baby
  • Silent Night
  • Christmas Must Be Something
  • White Christmas
  • The Joker and The Queen
  • Two is Better Than One
  • You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home

Out of these songs, Taylor Swift herself has explained why she can't perform Soon You'll Get Better feat The Chicks, stating to her fans in a live stream:

"We as a family decided to put this on the album. and it's something I'm so proud of, but it's just really hard. I can't sing it. It's hard to just emotionally deal with that song. You'll understand what I mean in a couple hours"

She later added during a SiriusXM Town Hall after performance Q&A in 2019:

"That's a song I don't know if I'll ever play it live. It's just really difficult for me. It was hard to write. It's hard to sing. It's hard to listen to for me, but sometimes music is like that. Sometime's it's not just about stuff that was pleasant to feel."

Some of the other songs on the list, the ones from her album, are on difficult topics such as unrequited love and heartbreak. Others, such as the Christmas songs, would not fit with the main setlists of the tour, which explore the different studio albums of the singer's careers.

The Joker and The Queen is a cover of Ed Sheeran's original song of the same name and thus not part of the original work by Taylor Swift.

Alongside the above songs, there were also a few songs Taylor Swift dropped from the initial Eras Tour setlists. These songs include The Archer, Long Live, The 1, The Last Great American Dynasty, Tis The Damn Season and Tolerate It.
