Molly-Mae Hague joined Love Island UK on June 11, 2019, entering the villa as a late ‘bombshell’. Boxer Tommy Fury, who was already in the villa, asked her on a private hot-tub date soon after she arrived.
Their bond grew over the following weeks, and when the show ended in late July 2019, Fury asked Molly-Mae Hague to be his girlfriend.
They moved in together and welcomed their first child

On August 14, 2024, Molly-Mae Hague posted on Instagram that she and Fury had ended their engagement, writing that she
“never imagined our story would end this way”.
Tommy Fury later confirmed to Men’s Health UK that the split was due to his struggle with alcohol, not infidelity.
He said, “We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore. It kills me to say it, but I couldn’t…”.
Tommy Fury spoke about his alcohol issues in January 2025
In a January 15, 2025, interview with Men’s Health UK, Fury admitted he used alcohol to fill the void left by boxing injuries and mental strain. He explained he would “get blacked out drunk” on most nights, replacing training with heavy drinking. Tommy Fury added that he believes alcohol “is not a good thing” and urged anyone facing similar issues to seek help.
They reunited in May 2025 after nine months apart
On May 9, 2025, Molly-Mae Hague confirmed in her Amazon Prime Video docuseries Molly-Mae: Behind It All that they had gotten back together nine months after their split.
In a confessional, she said, “I know just how amazing we can be when we work on ourselves”.
Molly-Mae Hague noted that regular phone calls during her work trips and “spending more nights at his house” helped them rebuild trust. Fury told Good Morning Britain that despite past struggles, he feels 2025 will be the “best year” of his life and is focused on being a better father and partner.
Looking ahead to their future
As of May 10, 2025, the couple is taking small steps to strengthen their bond while co-parenting two-year-old Bambi. They have been spotted together on family outings and holidays, showing a more private side to their relationship.
Their journey from a reality-TV romance to parenthood, through hardship and reconciliation, continues to be watched by fans and covered in the media.
