Jurassic World Rebirth is scheduled for release on July 2, and fans are excited to see it on the big screen. That hardly feels surprising since the film brings the Jurassic Park franchise back four years after the Chris Pratt-led Jurassic World trilogy. As it inches closer to its release date, the studio has decided to unveil another promotional trailer.

According to Jurassic World's social media handles, the new trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth will be released on May 20, 2025.

The new trailer will potentially reveal more information about the characters we have already met through the initial trailer. It dropped on February 5, shortly before the Super Bowl special "Big Game Spot" teaser for the film. It offered a brief idea of what to expect from this Jurassic Park franchise installment.

Before diving into those details, here's the official synopsis for the film,

“Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.”

The first official trailer revealed the details explained in the synopsis. It showed covert operation expert Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) being hired by a pharmaceutical company for a risky mission. She is supposed to venture into an isolated habitat of dinosaurs to find their DNA for a medical breakthrough.

For this job, Bennett is joined by paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey). Knowing the tricky nature of this operation, she enlists Duncan Kincaid (Mahershala Ali) as the team leader, knowing he will do whatever it takes to get the job done. They enter an island that was once the home of the original Jurassic Park research facility.

Unlike others, Loomis is aware of the repercussions of entering the habitat of the carnivorous animals native to the land. He notes,

"These dinosaurs were too dangerous for the original park. Worst of the worst."

The teams face the wrath of these dinosaurs on land and in water since the animals try to defend their territory by hook or by crook.

While speaking about the dinosaurs present in Jurassic World Rebirth, one of the producers told Vanity Fair:

"These are the dinosaurs that didn’t work. There are some mutations in there. They’re all based on real dinosaur research, but they look a little different."

So, the new trailer might offer a further glimpse into these mutated dinosaurs and give more ideas about the scale and scope of the film. Gareth Edwards has directed it based on David Koepp's script, and its cast includes:

  • Rupert Friend as Martin Krebs
  • Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Reuben Delgado
  • Bechir Sylvain as Leclerc
  • David Iacono as Xavier Dobbs
  • Audrina Miranda as Reuben's youngest daughter
  • Luna Blaise as Reuben's older daughter
  • Ed Skrein, member of Zora's team
  • Philippine Velge, member of Zora's team

Jurassic World: Rebirth is scheduled to be released on July 2, 2025.
