Coming in hot this month is the John Wick spin-off Ballerina, where Ana De Armas will be taking the lead in this assassin-filled world. The film will be released on June 6, 2025, and we can already see in the trailer that alongside eye-catching action, there's an eye-catching view from the locations it was filmed too.

While there's absolutely no confirmation if these few places we are about to mention were the only locations where the movie was filmed, there's a chance more information on it might arrive later. For now, just these three places where the filming took place have been confirmed.

Events in the film will happen between the third and the fourth John Wick film that will see Armas' character, Eve, seeking revenge for her father's death. Other than the actress, Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, Norman Reedus, and more are in the movie. By the looks of the film's trailer and clips, it seems that this one will live up to the franchise's legacy.

First up in the list is Prague, where most of the movie was shot. The online journal covering the cinema scenes in the Czech Republic's capital, The Prague Reporter gave a detailed report on the filming locations of the upcoming movie. Here's a list.

  • National Theatre’s Nova scena
  • The Masarykovo nadrazi train station
  • Karlín
  • Bubenec

It wasn't just these places but also some other locations that are outside Prague. It includes

  • Dolní Berkovice Castle
  • Kacina Castle
  • Belvedere Summer Castle
  • Tousen
  • Semily
  • Kouřim
  • Kladno
  • Kolin

In addition to that, 4Filming gave us a couple more specific locations it identified in the trailer. One is the Old Town Square, where the titular Ballerina is meeting some assassins. The other one is Charles Bridge, where a chase scene was shot.

Then there are filming locations that take us back to the US. A skyline and a suspension bridge can be seen in one of the trailers that looks like New York City. This suggests that there may be some scenes that were shot in NYC. The city is a major region in the country and we often see it popping up in a range of films.

Budapest, Hungary

This beautiful location was used for Ballerina's reshoots, especially the Norman Reedus action sequences. While that name might be giving you images of the Wes Anderson film, then we must tell you that The Grand Budapest Hotel was shot primarily in Germany and nowhere near Budapest.

What's exciting about Ballerina other than filming locations?

Ana De Armas is playing a newly trained assassin and she has already shown in the official clips how lethal she can be. But then Keanu Reeves' John Wick is back so that is certainly turning the heat up a notch. It is likely that Wick is there to assassinate her but changes sides somehow.

Then we have Lance Reddick in his posthumous appearance as the Continental's concierge. The actor passed away at the age of 60 in 2023. Additionally, we have Ian McShane back as the calm and composed Winston, the manager of the New York Continental.
