Emma Stone is an 'alien queen' in the next Yorgos Lanthimos film Bugonia, or at least some conspiracists think that. In the film, whose trailer was released just yesterday, Stone is a high-powered CEO, Michelle Fuller. Other than Stone, Jesse Plemons and Aidan Delbis are in it too and will be the ones keeping the 'alien queen' confined.

Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone are attached as the co-producers of the film too, alongside Ari Aster, Miky Lee, Ed Guiney, and more. It began filming in England and was shot mostly there. However, Greece is also one of the locations featured in it.

As of now, it is set for a limited release in the United States on October 24, 2025, but will get a wide release on October 31. As of this writing, the film holds a rare 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, but it might be affected once it hits the theaters.

The film began shooting in High Wycombe, England, which is surrounded by Chiltern Hills and is the largest city in the county of Buckinghamshire. The modern-day High Wycombe comprises a lot of suburbs, including but not limited to Wycombe Marsh, Totteridge, Daws Hill, and more.

Several popular films have been shot in the region, including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), The World's End (2013), Johnny English (2003), Bridget Jones's Baby (2016), and more.

Botanica Ditton Park is the very first location that's featured in the Bugonia trailer. You can see Emma Stone's Michelle Fuller walking in a building and giving a smile to others. It is likely to be her company's building in the film. This is the scene that shows the high-powered life she is living. But rest assured, she is going to miss this life once she succumbs to those conspiracists.

The area isn't that popular when it comes to films, and just one episode of a TV show, Black Mirror, called Joan is Awful, was shot in this location.

This is the place where Michelle Fuller’s home was shot in Bugonia. The place is located at Birds Hill Road and is a private estate. You can literally see multiple shots of this place in the film's trailer.

First is when Emma Stone is chilling in this house, checking out her phone while she wears a face mask. And then she is also seen in some sort of high-powered training, probably for self-defense. Something that she'll definitely need throughout the movie. Watch the trailer to see more of this place.

Finally, Sarakiniko Beach on Milos Island, Greece, serves as the last filming location for Bugonia. The film was supposed to be using the Acropolis of Athens as the final location but didn't get the permission to shoot there.

Bugonia is the only film featuring this location, according to IMDb. If that's the first, it will hopefully get more attention in the future.
