After the outrage and backlash against Jimmy Kimmel's remarks regarding Charlie Kirk's murder, the host was seen for the first time after his show was cancelled. According to a video clip from TMZ, the television host was spotted in a parking garage in Los Angeles, hurrying to get inside his Chevy Silverado. He was helped inside the truck by his handler as he sat in the back.
Kimmel was dressed down, unlike his usual suit and tie on the show. He wore a grey and white flannel shirt with dark jeans, a pair of white sneakers, a cap, and was holding a backpack in one hand, his phone in the other.
This was the first time he was seen in public after ABC announced that Jimmy Kimmel Live is being "pre-empted indefinitely". According to reports from TMZ, Jimmy was in his TV studio when he received the news that his late-night show was getting cancelled. Guillermo, who is Jimmy's right-hand man on the show, was also present when the news broke.
What comments did Jimmy Kimmel make about Charlie Kirk's murder?
During his Monday night show, Kimmel brought up President Trump's UK visit. He also mentioned Charlie Kirk's killer, as well as Trump's reaction upon hearing Kirk's death.
In Kimmel's words:
"The Maga Gang desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it."
He also made fun of President Trump's reaction by saying:
"This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he calls a friend. This is how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish."
How did President Trump respond to Jimmy Kimmel Live being canceled?
The President took to Truth Social to air out his thoughts regarding Kimme's show getting canceled. He expressed how happy he was with the decision and congratulated ABC for their "courage".
This was not the first time Jimmy criticized President Trump. Back in 2017, Kimmel criticized Trump regarding the healthcare bill, and that is where it all started.
The President wrote:
"Great News for America: The ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED. Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done. Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that’s possible. That leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!! President DJT"

Jimmy Kimmel's first public sighting came just days after his controversial remarks on Charlie Kirk's murder led to his show being pulled. While the host kept a low profile in Los Angeles, the fallout from his comments continues to make headlines. On the other hand, President Trump is celebrating the cancellation of Kimmel's late-night show.
